Traffic Management

Traffic management is currently a crucial tool to deal with traffic congestion. Let's see a good example in Bangkok, Thailand.

Prapinklao Bridge - crossing Chao Phaya River - is the major connection line between the center of Bangkok and Thonburi, western suburb and bed-town of Bangkok, as well as the western and southern regions of Thailand. During the evening peak-hours, out-bound trips are much more number than in-bound trips. Traffic management has been applied here by changing one in-bound lane to be a temporary out-bound lane. This measure can facilitate the excessive out-bound trips by using surplus in-bound supply.
