waiting area outside walkway

It is quite normal in Thailand that activities next to walkways do not provide waiting areas in their buildings, but push waiting lines on walkways instead. Pedestrians cannot pass by those areas freely, but they have to walk through groups of waiting people who suppose to stand inside the activities premises. However, Chulalongkorn Hospital does the good practice on this aspect. The waiting areas for the activities next to the walkways are separated from and connected to the walkways.

The ATM kiosk with waiting area that is separated from the walkways let the passer-bys walk conviniently.

The fastfood shop provides the areas in front of the shop for their customers without using the spaces of walkways.
