Holidays make Bangkok "a lawless city"

Songkran Festival(Thailand's Water Festival) is a famous tourist attraction. Thai people take very long holidays (at least 4 to 5 days) and went back to their hometowns. The main celebration for this festival is water shooting. Most people ride motorcycles through out the city to play the water shooting with the others who stand in front of their homes. However, shooting water to the vehicle is against the law in the regular day, as well as riding motorcycles without wearing helmets. Unfortunately, policemen do not fully work on Songkran Festival. Those regulations are always neglected.

This motorcycle gang stolled along Patanakarn Road. Without wearing helmets, they went to play water shooting with the water station in front of the houses. Surely, they had to ride pass several police sub-stations at all intersections. Not even a policeman tried to exercise the law on public safety. This can be implied that during the holidays, Bangkok is a lawless metropolis, the dwellers should take care of yourself. Policemen need a vacation too.
